European Project Erasmus and Sport Project
Brain Injury Matters are delighted to be part of a European Project Erasmus and Sport Project for the next 3 years.
The project connects 7 partners from 7 different countries (Slovenia, Croatia, France, Turkey, Hungary, Italy and ourselves) across Europe with the aim of developing sports solutions for rehabilitation purposes for people with disabilities. Fiona McCabe and Katy Pedlow attended the first meeting in Slovenia this month to learn more about the project and enjoyed visiting best practice centres for skiing, participating in sports workshops and contributing to partner project meetings. There was also an opportunity to visit Centre Neprej who support people with acquired brain injury in the community. As part of the programme, Brain Injury Matters will host an international conference in November this year. Our service users will benefit directly from the programme as they will be provided with opportunities to participate in new sports for therapy purposes.
