Castlereagh celebrates local volunteers
The Mayor’s Awards for Volunteering Scheme has been developed by Castlereagh Borough Council in partnership with Volunteer Now, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and the SEELB-Youth Service.
The aim of the awards is to recognise the valuable contribution and time commitment of volunteers across the Castlereagh Borough Council area.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, the Mayor of Castlereagh, Alderman Michael Henderson MBE said “I am extremely proud to be hosting the Volunteer Awards which recognise the vast range of voluntary work taking place across the Borough of Castlereagh. It is an honour to meet all the volunteers who have achieved so much and who selflessly help and enhance the lives of many other people.”
Brian White, Lara Norris and Amy Finnegan (Brain Injury Matters volunteers) were recognised at this prestigious event on Wednesday 25th September at La Mon Hotel and Country Club for their valuable support, time, commitment and dedication to Brain Injury Matters NI.
