Brain Injury Matters launches the Links Programme

25/07/17

The Links Programme (supported by Children in Need) is a Friendship and Peer Relationship Programme.

The “Links Programme” will offer a friendship and peer relationship porgramme to young people living with brain injury aged 14-18 years.  The programme aims to enable young people to become more actively involved in social opportunities and community life.  Established one-to-one friendships are peer relationships in which both the young person and the volunteer agree to take part in peer appropriate activities.  Volunteer befrienders will be recruited from post primary schools, colleges and youth organisations and will be matched with a young person from a similar geographical area and with shared interests.
