Arts for Enterprise Programme
The Arts for Enterprise Programme delivered by Brain Injury Matters is for participants aged 16+ with an Acquired Brain Injury. The programme will include group sessions and 1:1 mentoring.
The Arts for Enterprise Programme will bring together a team of 8-10 people with an Acquired Brain Injury in order to create, market and sell high quality arts and crafts. The team will be supported to take ownership of the programme and be responsible for generating ideas, making and selling their products. All proceeds from the sale of products will be donated to Brain Injury Matters to support programmes for children and adults with brain injury.

The team will meet once a week to participate in specialised workshops that will cover topics such as managing budget, marketing, product development and selling to the public. Team members will be taught various art makng techniques and will be given the opportunity to experiment with themes and ideas before creating products for sale.
In addition team members will receive training and support to encourage further developments that will enable them to seek employment or progress on to a role in the community. This will include workshops developing CV and interview skills, job searching and pathways for the future, delivered by local enterprise agencies.
Every team member will receive 1:1 mentoring and will be supported to work as part of a team. The programme will cover topics such as; returning to work, strategies to manage ABI in the workplace, stress management, fatigue and conflict resolution.
Must have an Acquired Brain Injury
Able to self-direct for short periods of time
Have the ability to work as part of a small team
Have access to transport (private or public)
Does not currently work more than 16 hours per week
Aims to return to work or a role in the community
Would benefit from 1:1 mentoring and skills support
**All applicants should complete an Enterprise Referral Form that will be assessed for suitability by the programme leader. Successful applicants will be subject to a £20 programme fee to contribute to course materials**
